Hi, I'm Dana, and I'm glad you're here.
Let me tell you a little about my work.
I love bold color. . . high contrast black and white. . . simple, uncluttered frames. . . and beautiful light. I shoot with a Canon 6D and a variety of Canon prime lenses. And if my house was on fire and all of my people were out, the next thing I'd grab would be my camera bag. No contest.
I love working hard on my craft. I take classes. . . collaborate with other artists. . . shoot and edit almost every day. And I experiment. . . a lot! Often, when I share one of these experiments I preface it with, " You may think I've lost my mind. . . "
I take lots of photographs of my kids. They're my biggest cheerleaders, and most of the time they cooperate. But they have their limits. One of them may or may not have actually yelled, "You're stealing my childhood," in response to being constantly stalked by my camera.
So I've had to branch out a little. I've taken up macro. . . and still life. . . and street photography. Mostly I shoot just for me, but I do enjoy collaborating on special projects.
